Member of the Month – Hala

If you’ve ever trained in the afternoon classes, you’ve probably seen Hala walk in straight from school with a backpack, a smile, and more energy than most adults have after three coffees.

She started CrossFit with us when she was only fourteen, following in the footsteps of her dad and her brother, and over the past two years, she’s grown into one of the most consistent, motivated, and quietly determined athletes in the room.

Hala, your drive, your positivity, and the way you throw yourself into every session bring something special to WE.FIT. You’re focused, humble, and full of potential, and it’s been incredible watching you grow over the past two years. We’re proud to have you in this community.

Let’s get to know Hala little better…

1. How did you get into CrossFit?

Hala: I discovered CrossFit through my family, because my father and brother also did it in Wädenswil.

2. How long have you been training with us?

Hala: I’ve been training with you for a little over 2 years, so I started when I was 14.

3. What was your very first CrossFit workout (or do you still remember what your first workout was like)?

Hala: I don’t remember the first workout, but the training was very interesting and lively.

4. How often do you currently train per week and how do you integrate that into your daily routine?

Hala: Currently, I train 3-5 times a week, always after school.

5. What music really motivates you during training – and what do you like to listen to in your free time?

Hala: Almost all kinds of music excite me, but I think throwback songs the most. Privately, I listen to almost everything.

6. What should never be missing from your refrigerator?

Hala: Cucumbers are a must!

7. What was your best vacation so far – and where do you absolutely want to travel to next?

Hala: My best holiday so far was in Africa (Kenya/Tanzania), even though I was quite young. And I would love to visit the Caribbean.

8. What does a perfect day off look like for you?

Hala: On a perfect day in summer, I would first get up and eat breakfast, then do a workout, have lunch, and in the afternoon go to the lake with my friends.

9. What should others absolutely know about you?

Hala: I am a 16-year-old but ambitious, sporty girl who is involved in many sports such as swimming (also a coach) and basketball.

10. What would you do if you were invisible for a day (honestly)?

Hala: I don’t even know that 😂

Hala, thank you for bringing your motivation, your curiosity, and your genuine love for movement into every session. You show up, you work hard, and you make the box brighter just by being yourself. We’re excited to see where your journey takes you — inside the gym and far beyond it.
