Member of the Month – Dilek — Meilen

By WE.FIT

Dilek joined WE.FIT Meilen in May 2025 – and after her first WOD, she knew right away: her fitness had some catching up to do. But instead of getting discouraged, she did something better: she kept showing up. Again and again.

Today Dilek is a core part of our Meilen community. She loves EMOMs, the rower, and anything that involves the team. Burpees and the bike? Not so much – but hey, we all know that feeling. When she’s not sweating it out in the box, you’ll find her outside with her Jack Russell “Matökeli” or enjoying good food with friends.

Dilek, you bring exactly the kind of energy that makes this community special: discipline, team spirit, and an infectious joy for life. We’re proud you found your way to us!

Let’s get to know Dilek a little better …

1. When and how did you get into CrossFit? Last year, in May 2025.

2. What was your first thought after your first WOD? Wow, I am SO unfit.

3. What tips would you give someone who’s just starting CrossFit? Just go, join in, and put it in your calendar. Don’t overthink it.

4. What’s your favourite workout or exercise? EMOMs – rowing – team workouts.

5. And which exercise do you really not like? 😅 Burpees & the bike = equally terrible. :)

6. Which values from CrossFit do you try to carry into everyday life? Discipline, motivation, team spirit – and believing in yourself.

7. What motivates you to show up even on tough days? The awesome training buddies I get to work out with. Shared suffering is half the suffering. :)

8. What’s part of your daily routine outside of training? Going for walks with my Matökeli (Jack Russell).

9. What makes you really proud in life – outside of sport? That I have such a joy for life and that I’ve met so many wonderful new people.

10. What do you enjoy doing in your free time? HYROX, CrossFit, running, nature, meeting friends, and going out for good food. :)

Dilek, thank you for being such a positive part of our community. Your tip for newcomers says it all: “Just go, join in, don’t overthink it.” That mindset is exactly what makes the difference – and we see it every time you walk into the box. Keep it up!
