If you’ve ever seen someone float through muscle-ups like they were born doing them — that was probably Adi. He might joke about being “already old,” but don’t let that fool you. The man moves with the energy of someone half his age and the precision of someone twice as committed. What started as a spontaneous visit (thanks, John Stiffler!) turned into a full-on love affair with the barbell, the rig, and the WE.FIT community.
Adi, we’re so glad John dragged you in that first time. Your humor, your consistency, and your positive energy are exactly what WE.FIT is all about. Thanks for being part of this community – even if it means a bit of a drive!
Let’s get to know Adi a little better…
1. How did you find your way into our box?
Adi: John Stiffler was to blame He dragged me along once. Even though it’s quite far away for me, the attractive, competitive boxing and the very friendly community kept drawing me back until I finally signed up for the subscription.
2. If you could name a WOD after yourself – what would it be called and what would it include?
Adi: Gymnastics – certainly a lot of gymnastics elements like muscle-ups, TTBs, and handstand push-ups.
3. You can swap a day with a coach or member – who do you choose and why?
Adi: I believe Jono – with his endless South African energy and precision.
4. What song would play when you enter each room – like your personal soundtrack?
Adi: The Bizness by De La Soul.
5. What are your daily routines outside of training?
Adi: Anything to stay young… wait, I’m already old, so I’ll just stop getting older!
6. What do you do for a living – and how does training help you keep a cool head at work?
Adi: I work at Red Bull (still miss the product in the box haha). Yes, it’s an office job, so I need the training even more to feel good.
7. What quality do you particularly value in other people – including those in this box?
Adi: Honest, positive, and open – with a good sense of humor! …and if you think I’m younger.
8. How would you motivate your 20-year-old self to start CrossFit?
Adi: Unfortunately, after a very athletic youth, my 20-year-old self was suddenly more in party mode than anything else. It was fun—certainly funnier than CrossFit—but I would still give CrossFit a full go. The sooner, the better.
9. What makes you really proud in life – outside of sports?
Adi: That I have such good friends and family!
10. Imagine being transformed into an object for a day – what would you most like to be (and why)?
Adi: Hmm… difficult. I think socks in the washing machine—mysteriously disappearing and living somewhere in a parallel world haha. Or a surfboard. Okay, yes, take the surfboard.
Adi, thank you for bringing your wit, your energy, and your love for CrossFit into every class. Whether you’re flipping upside down or cracking a joke, you add something special to the WE.FIT community. Here’s to more laughs, more PRs, and hopefully… that Red Bull fridge someday.
