When Patricia moved to Wädenswil, she was already an athlete — a lifesaver, a cyclist, a swimmer. But she was looking for something to complement all of that, something different.
She walked into WE.FIT at the end of October and found exactly that: a place where every session teaches you something new and where showing up feels less like a workout and more like a reset. Between shifts at the hospital and long rides on her gravel bike, Patricia carves out time for the box — and you can tell it matters to her.
Patricia, the energy and openness you bring to every session is exactly what this community is all about. We love having you with us — and we’re proud to call you part of the WE.FIT family!
Let’s get to know Patricia a little better…
1. How long have you been training at we.fit and how did you become aware of us?
Patricia: I’ve been training in the we.fit community since the end of October. I moved to Wädenswil in the summer and was looking for an additional training option besides swimming and cycling.
2. What convinced you to start back then?
Patricia: The variety of the training, learning new things, and the great group.
3. What is your sporting background?
Patricia: I‘ve been involved in lifesaving since my youth. In winter, I train a lot in the indoor pool, and in summer I also train a lot in the lake. Currently, when the weather is reasonably good, I’m drawn to my gravel bike and go on short to long bike tours.
4. Do you have a personal training goal for this year?
Patricia: I want to do as much CrossFit as possible by the end of March, get fitter, and learn lots of new moves and exercises. How much CrossFit I can train in the spring and summer remains to be seen. My goal for the summer is a longer bike tour.
5. Who do you particularly enjoy training with – and why?
Patricia: With my boyfriend Oliver. He always motivates me and pushes me to my limits. I also really enjoy training my sister; she doesn’t shy away from any wild sporting adventure.
6. How does the training help you to be more balanced or resilient in everyday life?
Patricia: Training allows me to switch off, forget everything, and process a lot of things.
7. What’s your favorite way to start the day?
Patricia: With a nice coffee and a good book.
8. What do you do for a living – and what do you love about your job (or rather, what do you dislike)?
Patricia: I’m a paramedic at the Horgen Lakeside Hospital and I love my job. Working together as a team and supporting people through difficult situations means a lot to me. No two days are the same; I never know what to expect at work, and this variety makes it very exciting.
9. What do you do to unwind when you’re not training?
Patricia: Then I really enjoy reading a good book or spending hours in the kitchen cooking something.
10. What 3 things would you take to a deserted island?
Patricia: Kyra, my cat, my gravel bike, and a diving mask.
Patricia, what stands out is how naturally you value teamwork, both in your job and in training. Thank you for bringing that spirit into our community and for being the kind of person who makes group sessions feel stronger.
We’re proud to have you as part of We.fit, and we can’t wait to see what you learn next before spring and where your adventures take you after that. 🚲🏔️
